6/16/13 : Garage Stalls

We only have 3 stalls left. They are available at a prorated amount for the remainder of the season. If you are interested in one please contact us.

6/8/13 : Results and points

I believe the race results for tonight's races have been uploaded to Mylaps. If you go to their website, www.mylaps.com click on the results option at the top of the page and then select kart and United States, they should be listed below, click 61K Season Race 5 and there they are. Then on the results page click on "championship" in red. That is where you find the points for this season. Sorry for any confusion. We are working on getting it linked to the website so there will be less steps.

6/8/13 : Food Vendor

If anyone knows of anyone that would be interested in selling food at the track please give them our number, 563-659-8900. Our races are on Saturday evenings and we have 12 races left for the season.

6/3/13 : Used Tires

Looking for some used go kart tires? You have found the right place. We have quite a few Bridgestone YLC, YKC, and others. We also have some Vega's, MoJo and MG's. They are all $5 a piece. And you can have as many as you can haul away. Call to make arrangements to pick them up. Don't wait too long- when they're gone, they're gone.

5/11/13 : Race Results

We are working on getting the race results on the website. With the changes that MyLaps did to their website, it has changed how we have done it in the past. As soon as we get it worked out we will update the race results page.

5/9/13 : Practice at the Facility

Due to the change in structure at the track and the ending of the rental kart program, it is imperative that you call ahead to ensure someone is at the track to check you in. If you arrive to practice without calling ahead and there is not someone to check you in, you may end up not being able to enter the track.

5/3/13 : Fuel

All clone classes and the kid kart class are now required to use 87 octane from Casey's for the 2013 season.

4/28/13 : What a great day!!!

The swap meet / open house was such a great day. The weather was wonderful, the smell of go karts, getting to see our racing friends and getting to meet some new ones. This Saturday May 4th at 4:30pm is the first race of the season. The track opens at 1:00pm for those that want to get some practice in before the start of the race. And remember if you signup to race that day there is no charge for practice.

4/8/13 : Weight changes for 2013

The weight for Sr. Supercan is 345 lbs., Jr. Supercan is 320lbs. and Jr. Sportsman is 255 lbs.

4/7/13 : SWAP MEET/OPEN PRACTICE

We will be having our Swap Meet/Open House on Saturday, April 27th from 12-5. There is NO charge to those that are selling items or to those that are looking to buy. We will also have the track open for FREE practice that day, just get your pit pass($10) and enjoy the day. 2/26/13 : Our next winter get together

March 9th at 6:30 we will have our next winter get together at Tony's. It is a great time to visit with your racing friends and meet some new ones. There's not a lot that is changing this season but if you have any questions we will get them answered for you. Bring a snack/dish to share. We hope to see you there.

2/17/13 : 2013 Helmet rules

Helmet must be in good condition and is subject to pre-race technical inspection. It may also inspected if it is damaged in an accident. If the helmet shows any damage, WKA recommends that it be returned to the manufacturer for testing and re-certification. Helmet must be secured with a strap. The driver is responsible for making sure that his or her helmet fits properly and is securely fastened before entering the racing surface. In the case of a minor,this is the parent or guardian's responsibility. Failure to properly secure the helmet before entering the racing surface may result in disqualification.

2/10/13 : Thanks

Last night was a great evening. Thanks to everyone that came. There were a handful of topics that were discussed. 1. For the Clone classes there is a new flywheel that is allowed, the PVL. It is a cast Aluminum. 2. The K&N #RC 1250 air filter will be allowed in the Kid Kart class. 3. We will continue to run Sr. Supercan class using the 2012 tech rules with the exception of the weight. We will announce the weight shortly.

12/30/12 : WINTER GET TOGETHER

We have scheduled a winter get together for 6:00 on February 9th at Tony's. Everyone is invited. Bring a dish to share. Let us know if you need directions. We hope to see you all there.

11/17/17 : Great Night

Thanks to everyone that came to our Awards Banquet last night. We had a great time and enjoyed visiting with everyone. See you in the spring.

10/30/12 : 2012 Awards Banquet

The 2012 Awards Banquet is on November 16th. Doors open at 6:00, Dinner at 7:00 and Awards at 8:00. If you have received your invitation you have until November 9th to RSVP. If you did not receive an invitation please let us know and we will get one mailed to you right away. We will also have raffle prizes to win. We hope everyone can come and enjoy the evening.

9/30/12 : Thanks

We want to say thanks to everyone for coming to the Vintage Kart race. They came from miles away and from just down the road. It was a great time. We saw a lot of old friends and made some new. We can't wait until next year. And we want to thank everyone that came to help with the races. It wouldn't have happened without them. Thanks again.

9/23/12 : 61 Challenge

The deadline for the 61 Challenge was yesterday the 22nd. Due to not enough entries in any one class the Challenge has been cancelled.

9/14/12 : Midwest Vintage Kart Classic

The Midwest Vintage Kart Classic will be at the track on Friday, September 28th for practice from 10:00AM-4:00PM and a kart show from 4:00-5:00. And Saturday, September 29th practice will be from 9:00AM-11:30 AM. Races are at 12:00.

9/4/12 : Rock Island Grand Prix

Congratulations to all the drivers that raced in the Grand Prix this past weekend. Hopefully everyone stayed safe.

7/31/12 : Rental Karts Saturday

This Saturday, August 4th the rental karts will be available from 10-5. No appointment necessary.

7/22/12 : Hog Roast

We want to thank everyone for coming out to our 7th Annual Hog Roast. We had a great time with good friends and good food. Mark your calendar for our 8th Annual Hog Roast on July 20th 2013.

7/15/12 : New track layouts

We have added some new sections to the track here at 61 Kartway. This being the case, we now have a shorter track for the Kid Karts. It was great to see them race on it last night, as we could see them racing the whole time which is comforting to the little racers family. With the shorter track it allows them to race side by side against one another more and and creates more passing opportunities as well. We also have a new section that we will use when we run the track in reverse, and it bypasses the "toilet bowl". Also, the rental karts will run on a new short track section as well. This new rental kart layout lets you see where everyone in your group is at all times. New aerial view coming soon.

7/15/12 : Flywheel Reminder

Just a safety reminder for ALL Clone classes - Please make sure you are running one of these flywheels. ARC 6619, ARC 6618, Raceseng Flywheels RSP-13-075 Rewheel NF- S1 & RSP-13-077 Rewheel F-S1 are the ONLY flywheels allowed. No other flywheels are allowed. The stock cast iron flywheel is not allowed under any circumstance.
