Rental Availability

Rental karts are available on the 1st Saturdays of June, July and August from 10-5.

The track is available for rental karts by appointment only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Give us a call a week ahead of time to check the availability of the track and make an appointment.

The Specifics

The rental karts are adult size chassis.

All drivers must meet the height requirement of 5'5" (to reach the brake pedal) and be 15 years old or older.

NO ALCOHOL is permitted on the premises during rental kart hours. Management reserves the right to refuse access to the track for ANY person that appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Individuals under 18 years of age will require a parents consent form to be signed.

All drivers MUST purchase a pit pass each day they are at the track. A pit pass is required to enter the hot pits and drive a kart. That charge is not included in the cost of the session.

61 Kartway will provide helmets and neck braces. Individuals wishing to bring their own helmet are welcome to do so as long as it meets these requirements. All helmet must be Snell approved, Snell 2005 or newer. DOT helmets are not allowed. If the helmet is not full face, the helmet must include eye protection such as goggles.

All drivers MUST sign our damage waiver. This form makes the driver physically and financially responsible for the kart while they are using it. These karts are not the karts you see at an amusement park or entertainment venue. These karts have top speeds of 40 MPH. The karts are NOT bumper cars - intentional bumping, crashing, or abuse will not be tolerated, and drivers doing so will be black flagged or asked to leave. Any driver who takes the kart off the track (into grass or over curbing) will be black flagged and brought off the track. Drivers ARE responsible for the cost of damage to any karts. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!!

The Pit Pass

Required for any individual who wishes to go out in a rental kart. A Pit Pass is $10.00 and is good for the entire day.

The Standard Rentals

To make this opportunity possible, 61 Kartway has 15 high quality, single driver Birel racing karts available for the general public. Training before trying one of these karts is not necessary as they are incredible simple to understand and drive. Simply sign our standard waiver, hop in a kart, and put your skills to the test on our track. Upon purchasing your Pit Pass (which is valid for the entire day that it is purchased), you may then purchase track time in 10 minute increments, at a cost of $17.00 per session plus tax. This does not include your pit pass.

Note: Group Outings of 8 or more people are available during the week by appointment. Please contact us to schedule an appointment for your group.

How a group session works: To be considered a group session, the group or outing MUST be scheduled at least 1 week prior to the arrival of the group and put a $100.00 deposit down. Once the group arrives, each individual in the group fills out our waiver and pit pass forms. They receive their pit pass and proceed to the karts for an explanation of the kart and the rules that will be enforced during their session. As each individual wishes to do another session, let us know and we will keep track and you pay at the end.

The Cadet Rental

61 Kartway has ONE cadet (smaller than adult size chassis) with a 4.0 hp motor available for drivers 6 to 10 years old to rent. Only the driver of the cadet kart and one adult in an adult size kart will be allowed on the track during this session with the parents having access to the track for viewing. This setup is designed to introduce the sport to younger drivers, and help parents make a decision as to moving forward in the sport of racing.

$17.00 plus tax + $10.00 pit pass= $28.19 for a 10 minute session

NOTE: Any damage to the Cadet kart (chassis, bodywork, engine, tires, etc.) during use will be the immediate responsibility of the parents or guardian of the driver. Payment for damaged items will be made at the track office before leaving the premises.
